Australia

The Education system in Australia is the responsibility of the respective States (6) and Territories (2) , through their Department of Educations. There are public and private schools. The private schools are divided into the independent schools managed by the Catholic Education Office  and other denominational offices such as Christian Schools Australia ,  Australian Association of Christian Schools  o Lutheran Education Australia , and the private schools are managed autonomously . The school system has a similar structure throughout Australia, with minor differences depending on the State or Territory.

The teaching of a second language policy in Australia is usually administered by the LOTE (Languages Other Than English) sections within the Departments of Education. Each State and Territory provide their preferences to a certain number of languages, which can be between 6 and 10, and the schools can choose the language that they would like to offer to their school community.
