The Education Office is a technical body of the Diplomatic Mission of Spain to the U.S. and Canada. Its headquarters are located at the Embassy of Spain in Washington, D.C. The Education Office forms part of the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sport of Spain's foreign offices network spread over five continents and is in charge of implementing in the U.S. and Canada Spain's foreign education policies, without affecting the authority of direction and coordination of the Head of the respective Diplomatic Mission.
To manage the foreign education policies of Spain in the U.S. and Canada.
To promote the Spanish language and culture in the U.S./Canadian education systems.
To offer pedagogical, technical support to teachers of Spanish through the Spanish Resource Centers located at Universities in the U.S and Canada.
To support the English-Spanish bilingual programs in the K-12 education system in Spain.
