Ministry of Education, Culture and Sport- Government of Spain

The Ministry of Education created this Portal in order to bring Vocational Training closer to the highest possible number of citizens, providing comprehensive information on this training offering via the Internet.

Vocational Training offers a high percentage of insertion in the labour market. That is why it was necessary to offer a modality that would make it possible to combine training with employment or other activities. In response to citizens’ needs, the Vocational Training offering has become flexible and these studies may now be followed on a presence-based basis or by distance learning.

This offering is specially intended for those that are unable to attend Vocational Training in educational centres during the presence-based class schedule.

This website provides access to the Distance Vocational Training courses offered by the Ministry of Education and the Autonomous Communities.

The modular structure of the Vocational Training cycles enables every student to decide on their own as to how many modules they wish to enrol for depending on their personal circumstances and the time that they have available.

The requirements for access and the number of hours are similar to those of the presence-based modality.

The final assessment for each of the vocational modules will require students to pass presence-based examinations, in combination with continuous assessment processes.

The Qualifications that are obtained after completing an Intermediate or Higher Level Training Cycle are the same throughout national territory, regardless of whether the studies are followed in an Autonomous Community or in the scope of the Ministry of Education. However, because of the fact that various Administrations have different training offerings, it is important to realise that the calendar, enrolment system, assessment and syllabuses may vary depending on the Autonomous Community or on the Ministry of Education.

In the scope of their competences, each Educational Administration will adopt the necessary measures and provide the necessary instructions to centres so that they can set up and run distance-based Vocational Training education.
