Punic-ibizan amphora

Punic-ibizan amphora Pulse para ampliar Punic-ibizan amphora

Amphora dated between 120-100 BCE and 50-75 CE, corresponding to the model of Punic-Ibizan productions, found in abundance throughout the south-east Iberian Peninsula.

Biconic but with a longer, narrower lower half, it has a flared rim and handles in the form of an almost completely circular ring. These models were very widespread despite the growing hegemony of Roman trade, leading to the appearance of materials of Italic origin, such as amphorae and ceramics.
