Sorolla in his personal eden. A photographic album of the artist

7 April 2017 - 1 october 2017

Curator: Publio López Mondejar

The exhibition aims to offer a photographic portrait of Joaquín Sorolla and his creative and personal universe.

As a great artist and national treasure, Sorolla was always a subject for photographers, some of whom were part of his circle of family and friends, such as Antonio García, Christian Franzen, Campúa, Gertrude Käsebier and González Ragel, who captured him hard at work, with his family and at the most important moments of his life.

In some ways, this exhibition also shows the revolution that took place in the field of portraiture and Spanish photography between the 19th and 20th centuries.
