Accreditation for the profession of Primary and Secondary School Teacher in the UK
 

Directive 2005/36/CE on the recognition of professional qualifications states that any qualified practitioner to teach in an EU country is also entitled to this right in any of the member countries. In the UK it is essential to register and gain Qualified Teacher Status.

Qualified Teacher Status is granted in the UK by the institutions below. Information regarding requirements, documentation and procedures is available at

Among other documentation, you will need to provide an Accreditation Statement of your professional qualifications issued by the Ministry of Education in Spain. Here you can download the application form for the recognition of Spanish professional qualifications covered by Directive 2005/36/EC. This form should be sent to SR. MINISTRO DE EDUCACIÓN Sub. Gral. de Títulos y Reconocimiento de Cualificaciones. Paseo del Prado, 28. 28071 - Madrid

Once you are in possession of this Accreditation Statement from the Ministry of Education in Spain, you will need to send it to your General Teaching Council usually accompanied by an English translation.
